BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing to book with The Priory and we look forward to welcoming you.

When you make a booking at The Priory you are entering into a formal agreement with us and are accepting our terms and conditions.  Please ensure that you read the following thoroughly.

Booking

We reserve the right to change your room with out prior notice.

We reserve the right to refuse a booking.

Please note that all rooms are allocated on a 'first come first served basis' and are subject to availability.  Whilst we endeavour to meet all of your requirements, sometimes circumstances beyond our control mean those requirements cannot be met.

We do not accept single night bookings for Saturday nights.

We do not accept all female or all male stag & hen parties.

To confirm your booking we require full details of a credit/debit card.

Check-in and check-out

You can check-in from 2pm on the date of arrival.  It may be possible to check-in earlier, but only by prior arrangement.  If you wish to check-in any later than 9.30pm, you should give us at least 24 hrs notice.

You must check-out before 10.30am on the date of departure.

Rates and payment

The rate for each room is as agreed at the time of booking and charges are per room.  All prices include breakfast, unless otherwise stated.

The Priory advertises with other organisations and publications. We are not liable for any inaccurate information provided by third parties, including information regarding prices.

We accept all major credit cards.

Cheques can only be accepted if received by The Priory three weeks in advance of the booking.  We can only accept cheques if accompanied by a valid cheque guarantee card and cannot accept cheques for more than the amount guaranteed.

Group discounts are sometimes available for parties of 20 people or more.

Please note that all advertised special offers are subject to availability.  Special offers are not available at peak times.

1 Friday and Saturdays nights

2. Bank Holiday Weekends.

3 .Race Meetings.

4 .St Nicholas fare or Viking Festival.

5. Graduation.

Cancellations

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable.

Cancellations made up to 7 days before your date of arrival will not incur any charges.

Cancellations made any later than 10am on the day 48 hours before you are due to arrive or if you simply fail to turn up on the day of your booking, will incur the full cost of your booking.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking.  We may do this if the accommodation booked is not available for reasons beyond our control.  In such circumstances, we would offer you alternative accommodation or refund all monies paid.  We would not be liable for any further payments.
Rooms

All children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times and may not stay in separate rooms on their own.

Pets

You may bring dogs to the Priory at an additional charge of £10 per dog per stay.  You must obtain prior agreement to bring dogs and that agreement is subject to the following conditions;

1. We do not provide any pet food or bedding.

2. Please do not allow your dogs to foul the property. You will be expected to provide and use any necessary cleaning materials.

3. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when on our property and untrained dogs should not be left unsupervised in bedrooms.

4. Dogs are not allowed in food serving areas.

5. The full cost of any damages caused will be added to your final bill.

Damages

You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the property or its contents. Please report any damages immediately.  We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. You may incur additional charge if you do not report damages.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or possessions, unless the damage can be proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves, our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment
