Covid-19 Notice 22 June 2020

Hello Everyone

I hope your safe and well.

Well it's been a long 3 months being closed and so now is the time we are considering opening again.

If this goes to plan and we can confidently achieve the safety the measures the government has set out we will be opening for some guests from 11th July 2020.

As I write this, I'm not actually clear as to when York city itself, will be fully open. I know some bars and restaurants are opening with safety measures in place on the 4th July. The museums and The Minster are not open for visitors as yet, so you may like to consider that before making your booking.

We are having to make adjustments to comply with the government regulations. This is to keep you and our staff safe so you will need to check these before your arrival at the York Priory and respect us and our rules. We have to follow them by law.

A full explanation of those will be posted here soon.

Until we can establish that we can fulfill safety requirements, bookings will only be taken direct over the phone or via our website as we only have limited availability and need to contact you before arrival.

Dear Everyone

It is with a very sad heart that we have taken the decision to close until further notice. We do not know when we will be next open, that will be governed by this wretched virus.  We will be answering messages etc, but will be on a limited basis. Please be patient.

I dont know what is going to happen, this is totally unchartered territory, but i hope in the future, to see all my friends and people I have met over the years. I wish you a safe and healthy next few weeks. ,

Safety for people is more important than anything, we wish to commend our NHS and all the network of other volunteers.

Please take care of yourselves

With love
